English Regency Sofa Table or Desk

An English early Regency 2 drawer rosewood and mahogany inlay sofa table or desk w/hinged drop leaf extenders, the oblong top mounted on matching side supports, connected by a turned, tapering stretcher, all on four paw feet; original gilt brass hardware. Designed by Decimus Burton for the townhouse of the Duke of Rutland, Arlington Street, London. (See Provenance, attached paperwork England, c. 1790--1810. Dimensions: 28 1/4" H x 43" W x 27 1/2" D.
