A Carlos Merida geometric abstract watercolor on paper, signed and dated 1971, in a custom ebonized frame w/gold fillet.   Dimensions, framed;  22 1/4" H x 19 1/4" W.  Approximate artwork dimensions (all showing):  8" x 10.   

 

The artist was born in Guatemala, studied at the Institute of Artes and Artesanas in Guatemala and also in Paris from 1910--1914.  He is exhibited in many international museums, and is well listed in Artcyclopedia, Curriers, Davenports, etc. Carlos Merida (1891--1984)
