China Trade Rice Paper Paintings

A pair of early 19th Century China Trade rice (pith) paper paintings of Mandarin Courtesans at leisure. Of special interest is the depiction of both Eastern and Western furniture forms. Both are custom silk matted & gilt framed. Note slight vertical paper separations, characteristic of rice paper.  Circa 1820.   Dimensions: 20" H x 15" W.
