Josef Presser Modernist Gouache

Joseph Presser (1909--1967) abstract expressionist mixed media gouache on paper, signed upper left. Studied the at Boston Museum of Fine Arts School and throughout Europe. In many museum collections, including The Uffizi, Florence, Italy, The Whitney Museum of American Art & The Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC, etc. Deaccessioned from a noted New England American art museum. Well listed, including Davenport's, Who Was Who in American Art, Ask Art, etc. Newly custom mounted w/silvered fillet, in a silver leafed, limed oak frame. Art work measures 11 1/4" H x 8 1/2" W.
